The Miss Southern Heartland Scholarship Pageant is an official Miss America Preliminary Pageant. The Miss America Organization is a not-for-profit corporation established solely to provide contestants with the opportunity to enhance their professional and educational goals and to achieve those pursuits with the assistance of monetary grants and awards.
In fact, this organization, raised over 45 million in scholarships, being the largest scholarship provider in the world for women.
Today, educational advancement, achievement and public service continue to be the primary objectives of the Miss America Organization in the face of changing roles for women in American society.
